Fibro Active Weekly Walk

Length & Grading: 0.5 – 1.5 miles, easy access.

Our gentle walks are for people with Fibromyalgia, CFS/ME and Long Covid. They take us round the paths of West Park to the café. We can break off into groups to suit all abilities. If the weather is fine, we can stop for a cuppa and chat. (No stiles). The walk is for people aged 18+ only. We welcome all sufferer’s and carer’s. Please Book before attending. Mobility scooters users are welcome. Manual wheelchair users must come with a carer to push. Dogs welcome but must be on a short lead.

Starting Point: Butterfly Gates at the entrance to West Park off the car park, Wilsthorpe Road, Long Eaton NG10 4AA. Grid Ref 479 334.

The Young People's Forest

Length & Grading: 2.5 miles, easy.

Join the Woodland Trust for a gently paced 2.5 miles (4km) walk around the Young People's Forest, led by their Youth Engagement Team. The walk will include the history of the landscape as well as information about the emerging young woodland developed by young people from the local community. (No stiles).

Starting Point: The Bungalow, The Young People's Forest, Slack Lane, Heanor, DE75 7GX (next door to Shipley Country Park Visitor Centre).
