Length & Grading: 7.5 miles, moderate/strenuous.


Join the Amber Valley Ramblers for a 7.5 mile walk through woodlands and fields beside the river. Some climbs and a small amount of walking along quiet back roads. (7 stiles). Bring a packed lunch as we will stop for lunch.

Join Erewash Ramblers on a 6.5 mile walk over undulating countryside. Bring a packed lunch as we will stop for a half hour lunch (9 stiles). Free parking in grass field courtesy of Brunswood Farm – drinks and refreshments available at start and finish.

Rewilding the Iron Giant Bennerley Viaduct


Length & Grading: 2 miles, moderate


Explore the natural heritage of the newly opened heritage railway bridge, Bennerley Viaduct and learn how our volunteers are helping nature on this former coalfield. This circular walk involves 60 steps on Nottingham side and a further 40 steps up and down on the Ilkeston side. (1 stile)
