Lea Gardens

Where Rainbows Grow

During the spring and early summer, you will find one of England's finest collections of rhododendrons and azaleas. The spectacular colours have to be seen to be believed.  The gardens also include many rare trees, shrubs and alpine plants.  Visitors may wander through the gardens, which are recognised internationally, or relax and admire the spectacular views across the Derwent Valley.

The Tea Garden Café offers a range of fair-trade tea and coffee together with scrumptious homemade cakes making the perfect tranquil setting for a spot of lunch after your tour around the beautiful gardens.  Locally made ice-cream from Bluebells Dairy and gluten free cakes on offer too.

Look out for the events and the annual Music Day for a special treat.
