...The ducks are going on a summer holiday!

Following the huge success of the Ay Up Me Duck Trail, Amber Valley’s much-loved duck sculptures have now spread their wings and waddled off to exciting new locations across the borough for the summer.

The eight large duck sculptures, which captured the imagination of residents and visitors alike during the trail, can now be discovered at some of Amber Valley’s most popular parks, attractions and visitor destinations. Whether you're planning a family day out, exploring somewhere new, or revisiting a favourite local spot, there’s still plenty of opportunity to meet the ducks and snap a selfie along the way.

Where can you find the ducks?

This summer, the ducks will be enjoying new homes across Amber Valley:

• Ayup Belper! – Belper River Gardens
• Duk n Luv – Shipley Country Park Visitor Centre, Heanor
• Sunset over Amber Valley – Crossley Park, Ripley
• This View Is All It's Quacked Up To Be – Midland Railway – Butterley
• Amber Sun – Midland Railway – Butterley
• Ayup Duck in Derbyshire– National Tramway Museum, Crich (arriving over the coming weeks)
• Derwent Duck– Ripley Town Hall (arriving over the coming weeks)
• Bee-ky – Alfreton Indoor Market (arriving over the coming weeks)

Plan Your Summer Duck Adventure

These locations are temporary homes for the ducks until September, when they’ll once again be on the move. Their summer tour provides the perfect excuse to explore more of Amber Valley’s attractions, green spaces and heritage sites while tracking down your favourite designs.

From riverside walks and country parks to historic railways and family attractions, each duck location offers something different to discover.

We’d like to thank everyone who has supported the Ay Up Me Duck Trail so far – from visiting the sculptures and sharing photographs, to supporting the local businesses that took part. The response has been fantastic, and it’s been wonderful to see how warmly the ducks have been embraced by our communities.
