The Sounds of Summer
Relax and enjoy the very best of brass, folk music and
choral singing as the parks come alive with the sound of
music. Listen to some of the local bands playing their
favourite music in the beautiful surroundings of Belper River
Gardens, Crossley Park, Ripley and the Memorial Gardens in
Belper.
In Belper and Ripley you will find a selection of live music,
performed on summer afternoons. Bring your picnic, rug or
chair and sit and relax in the open air.
The Band Concerts are free of charge and are arranged by the
Town Council or the Friends of the Parks Groups and run throughout the summer months.
You will also find Ripley Music Festival in
July offering a musical extravaganza to suit a wide range of
tastes.
