On Location

As you are sightseeing around the Amber Valley you will probably already recognise some of the area and it's attractions, as the area is a popular location for film and tv productions.

The superb setting of Kedleston Hall has been used on many occasions for filming purposes, most recently for the feature film 'The Duchess' and the TV series 'Jayne Eyre'.

BBC's 'Bargain Hunt' with David Dickenson is often filmed there.  Keep an eye on our What's On page for details of the next Antiques in the Parkā„¢.

Peak Practice was filmed in the area for a number of years.  The earlier programmes featured Crich and surrounding countryside as the fictional village of Cardale.  Over the years with their restored vehicles and period street scenes, the transport venues, Midland Railway and Crich Tramway Village have proved to be popular choices for filming period dramas and productions, including D.H Lawrence's 'The Rainbow' and 'Women in Love'.
